Wound Care Clinic Overview

Welcome to Bradley County Medical Center's Comprehensive Wound Healing Center. BCMC has partnered with RestorixHealth to provide this wonderful service to our patients on Tuesdays. To schedule an appointment with BCMC's Wound Care Clinic, please call 877-295-2273.

We're dedicated to healing wounds, preventing lower limb loss and optimizing outcomes for our patients.

If you or a loved one has a wound that is of concern or is not healing properly, we encourage you to visit the wound center for an evaluation.

A wound that is not healing properly may be complicated by underlying conditions such as diabetes, circulation problems or previous radiation treatment. Sometimes, the simplest of wounds can turn into a significant problem because the body's normal healing process is affected. Other types of non-healing or difficult-to-heal wounds result from pressure, trauma or infection. Non-healing wounds can have serious health consequences and may adversely affect your quality of life.

Types of Wounds Treated

As a comprehensive wound healing center, we specialize in the treatment of all types of non-healing and difficult-to-heal wounds including:
→Diabetic foot ulcers
→Venous ulcers
→Pressure ulcers
→Non-healing, surgical wounds
→Arterial/ischemic ulcers
→Post-radiation injury to tissue or bone
→Traumatic wounds
→Infected wounds
→Crush injuries
→Compromised flaps or grafts

The BCMC Wound Care Clinic has received numerous awards over the last few years. Most recently, it was honored to have earned RestorixHealth’s highest achievement, the Wound Center of Excellence Award. Recipients of this prestigious award meet or exceed national wound care quality benchmarks over a set period of time. This is the second time over the last three years the BCMC Wound Care Clinic has claimed this honor with the other coming in 2022.

In 2023, the BCMC Wound Care Clinic received a Clinical Distinction Award and Patient Satisfaction Award from RestorixHealth.

In 2020, our clinic earned the Going the Distance Award, which acknowledged the BCMC Wound Care Clinic as a nationwide leader in wound healing patient outcomes.

BCMC Recognized for Advancing Rural Stroke Care

People who live in rural communities live an average of three years fewer than urban counterparts and have a 40% higher likelihood of developing heart disease and face a 30% increased risk for stroke mortality, according to an American Heart Association’s presidential advisory on rural health. Bradley County Medical Center is committed to changing that.

For its efforts to optimize stroke care and reduce gaps in rural health outcomes, BCMC has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke Rural Recognition Bronze award.

Stroke is the No. 4 cause of death and a leading cause of disability in the U.S, according to the American Heart Association’s 2026 Heart Disease and Stroke Statistics Report. A stroke occurs when a blood vessel supplying the brain is blocked by a clot or ruptures, preventing blood and oxygen from reaching brain tissue. When this happens, brain cells begin to die. Early detection and rapid treatment are critical to improving survival, minimizing disability and supporting faster recovery.
