JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: RN
Department: Home Health
Supervisor: Nurse Supervisor- Home Health

Position Summary: Responsible for the direction, coordination, intervention and evaluation of each patient and their care.
Position Accountabilities:
1) Conducts an initial evaluation designed to gather data relevant to patient needs as necessary.
2) Identifies patient care needs for home health patients.
3) Develops patient plan of care for home health patients.
4) Implements plan of care.
5) Evaluates the outcome of nursing care.
6) Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with Home Health policies and procedures.
7) Demonstrates leadership skills in coordinating team and patient activity by effectively planning, efficient time and supply management, delegation and feedback.
8) Identifies learning needs of patients and instructs individuals on appropriate information.
9) Demonstrates professional responsibility in the RN Team Leader role by functioning as a role model and identifying opportunities for self-development and enhancement of professional competency.
10) Exercises sound judgment in decision making. Follows through on all projects. Demonstrates thoroughness and accuracy; promotes teamwork in a positive work environment.

Drive-Thru COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic at BCMC Rural Health Clinic Set for Sept. 9


There will be a free drive-thru COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Thursday, Sept. 9 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the BCMC Rural Health Clinic parking lot, located at 304 East Central Street in Warren. This event is being sponsored by the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership (ARHP), Bradley County Medical Center, and Gannaway Drug Store.

All three brands of the vaccine will be available, including the Pfizer two-shot vaccine, which was recently granted full approval by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for people age 16 and older. The Pfizer brand also has an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for ages 12-15. The Moderna two-shot vaccine and one-shot Johnson and Johnson have EUA for people 18 and older and will also be available at the vaccine clinic. If you get one of the two-shot vaccines, the second dose will be given on Thursday, Sept. 30.
