Autism Support Group
Location: First United Methodist Church
Description: WHO: For parents of autistic children WHAT: A support group for autism WHEN: April 22, 2014 @ 6:30 pm WHERE: First United Methodist Church 111 West Church Street Warren, AR 71671 This is a new program, established to help children and the families who have been affected by AUTISM. There are different levels and different diagnoses of this disorder. Our goal is to create a comfortable environment for people to come and find support. I have a grandson who has Asperger's syndrome. He is very special to me. I have seen how others look and act towards him. His parents don't go out much because they are afraid Aiden might have a meltdown or act out. I personally know several parents who live their lives the same way. These children are not infections. They only have a disorder. Please join me in supporting these families by spreading the word to anyone who could benefit. We are also looking for volunteers who can provide childcare at the church while we are meeting so the parents will be able to participate without interruption. For more information or to volunteer you can contact Kathy Hall at 870-465-2445 or Michallee Hall at 870-224-5393. Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. -Psalms 127:3
